Value-Priced Hotel Supplies for the Bath and The Bed

As the owner or manager of a hotel, motel, inn or bed and breakfast, you want to provide the best experience for your guests in as economical fashion as possible. In today's economic climate, individuals and families are hard pressed to find the financial resources needed to take that annual vacation trip. Potential travelers are actively seeking out value for their money whether that be taking a cruise, renting a vehicle, or booking lodging. However, their expectations for accommodations haven't necessarily fallen. They are looking for the same value and quality but aren't necessarily willing to pay the same prices as before the Great Recession. America has turned into one big bargain hunter, often at the expense of brand loyalty.

No longer can lodging proprietors assume they will always have plenty of guests just because of location or services offered. These days, your bottom line is more important than ever. You must be continually looking for the best supplies your hotel will need at the most favorable prices available. By reducing your costs, you can pass these savings onto your guests in terms of lower booking fees. However, costs should not be your sole criterion when shopping for supplies. After all, what is the point of buying "cheap" products if it leads to a steep rise in complaints from your guests. Your job then is find a way to maintain the same level of service and features that people expect but in a way that lowers your costs.

In these bargain-hunting times, lodging guests expect that even value-priced hotels have comfortable accommodations. As you well know, the two places that guests use and notice the most are the bathroom and the bed. Guests expect bathrooms to be stocked with plenty of hand towels, bath towels, and wash cloths. And, they want these items to do their intended jobs, and not come across as flimsy or too thin.
Each of your beds is in fact an ensemble made up of sheets, pillows, pillowcases, blankets, and mattress toppers and mattress pads. A pad helps protect the mattress and acts as a protective hygienic barrier for your guests. Toppers provide that extra comfort layer that your guests will notice and appreciate.

You'll want bathroom and bedding products to complement and be in tune with the overall decor of your establishment. By this I mean the quality of these items should be consistent with the overall quality that your inn or or hotel is providing. For instance, more luxurious towels and fine quality sheets belong in 4 and 5 star hotels. If your accommodations facility is in the 2-3 star range, then you can opt for a little less quality bath and bedding products.
